Beneath the Ceiba Tree
Some secrets are buried. Others take root.
Ghana, 1970. Beneath the heat of the African sun, a moment of panic changes the lives of two young men forever. What happened that day is buried beneath the roots of a mighty Ceiba tree — along with a secret neither can escape.
England, 1994. When a long-hidden account of the past comes to light, two women are drawn into a mystery that reaches across continents and generations. But memories are unreliable, loyalties run deep, and the truth is far more complicated than anyone imagined.
Set against the vivid landscapes of Ghana and the quiet complexities of family life in England, Beneath the Ceiba Tree is an evocative, slow-burning mystery about friendship, guilt, love and the secrets that shape our lives.
